If you have poked around the site you already know that we
offer high definition telecine transfers direct to
external hard drives. You'll find our PDF price list available for
download by scrolling through the menu box on the left. Our mission is to enable folks to get into High
Definition. To that end, we have consciously chosen to eliminate some of
the costly frills and working methods that have put high def production
out of reach.
For example, transfer fees are based on the run time (or viewing
time) of your material, not suite or labor time.
Since we strongly urge our clients to test out their workflow from
beginning to end, we offer "test drives" for those wishing to try out
the "tapeless option" and we start our telecine transfers with a
quarter-hour minimum.
As credentialed vendors to handle archival material from major
archival institutions such as the National Archives (NARA), Library of
Medicine, and the Library of Congress, we can also assist collection
archivists and curators plan a cost effective migration of their
holdings into the digital domain, whether the intention is for high
definition presentation, web streaming, or preservation back to film. If
you have only seen your film holdings transferred in NTSC, you will be
surprised at the amount of visual detail that will be revealed in a high
definition or data transfer.
If you are a NARA client seeking to transfer material from the
National Archives, please be aware that there are additional costs
required by NARA to have access to the holdings. If you are new to
ordering from NARA, our Archives section on our Bono Film site may be
helpful.
