Bonolabs trayless sata drive enclosure
Client appetite for a cost effective trayless solution for the tapeless workflow has led us to offer our own simple and sturdy unit. This enclosure is not manufactured by us but is indeed assembled by us. It’s known as a COS (commercial off the shelf) product that consists of products already manufactured that our crew assembles. It’s been exhaustively tested in our digital lab under live circumstances and used everyday in our tapeless operation. I think you’ll find the unit attractive, simple, inexpensive and most of all very practical. We’re now in the process of building units to order and it generally takes 2 weeks or less from the time the order is placed until we ship to you. Several will be stocked shortly and may be shipped within one business day. We have some new related products, including our new shelving modular units that help complete the storage picture. Check our long-term storage section for more details.

Trayless design is the most economical and fastest means to access your data. Trays for hard drives cost money and are very cumbersome to mount and dismount. Most folks in the tapeless world are using drives to offload and load data to and don’t need the drive sitting on the shelf with a $25 tray attached. These trayless mechanisms are rated for 30,000 cycles before any problems should occur. (A cycle is a mount and dismount of the drive.) | |
